Sea Kayak Adventure: 6-Days in Baja CA exploring Bahia de los Angelos with Family Kayak Adventure Center

Join Marie Humphrey and Family Kayakers on this fantastic adventure down the Baja peninsula on the Sea of Cortez. The journey on Highway 1 starts out along the beautiful Pacific Ocean coast, then turns inland through the mountains and becomes unique cactus country. The huge Cardon cacti and strange Cirio "Boojum" trees are really unique to this area and create a stunning contrast to the beautiful blue of the Sea of Cortez.

 

We'll camp on the beach south of town for 6 days/5 nights, doing day paddles in the morning before the wind comes up. In the mornings with no wind, the water is smooth as glass and crystal clear. Paddling along the rocks is like being in an aquarium with all the fish and aquatic plants. The 70 degree water temperatures make swimming and snorkeling an added pleasure.

We will also experience the lowest tides of the month while we are there, so it will be great for clamming. All the varieties of clams make really tasty appetizers.

Trip costs are $449 per person. $100 discount with your own kayak.

Cost includes camping fees, kayaks, paddling equipment, life vests, guide, auto insurance and tolls. Both single and double kayaks are available. This campsite includes a cabin located right on the beach with a toilet and hot shower. Not included in the cost are a tourist visa (approx. $25 per person, good for 6 months), food, drinks, and automobile fuel for the trip down and back. All transportation expenses will be shared by the group.
